MSME(Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) is the very base of any country's economy. MSME is the foundation level of the Economy house of cards. Frankly speaking we never understand why there are wars and terror attacks in the world for countries, just destroy the MSME sector of the country and the country will fall to its knees

After mentioning that let’s start today article with a story

Couple of years back , we heard a story about an Indian businessman, who made big money exporting crabs in boxes with no lids. A rival who just couldn’t bear the suspense finally asked the businessman how he managed to export his crabs in lidless boxes. Didn’t those crabs simply crawl away?

Prompt came the response: These were crabs, after all. There was nothing to worry here because the moment one crab tried climbing up, the others would pull it down. So as long as the businessman ensured the crabs were Indian, the businessman did not spend on lids for the boxes. The savings from that were seemingly notable , in a business where incremental cost advantages mattered.

The story above can be summarized as one term,

Crab Mentality

WHY ARE WE LIKE THAT?

WHEN DID WE BECOME LIKE THAT?

WHY WE ARE MORE HAPPY WHEN WE HEAR OUR RIVAL HAD A LOSS RATHER HEARING THIS YEAR WE MADE GOOD PROFIT?

DOESN'T THIS MAKE US VULNERABLE TO OUR OWN EMPLOYEES AND GOVERMENT?

WHEN DID "CRAB MENTALITY" BECOME THE NORM FOR MSME SECTOR WHO SUPPOSED TO BE THE BASE OF A COUNTRY'S ECONOMY?

Not letting the others forge ahead is a mindset of most of the MSME industries. The higher the efforts you make to grow as a company, more efforts are made by competitors to pull you down. Don’t think as an individual, don’t think as a jealous rival. Think as a Guardian who is protecting the country’s Economy. Why do you want to bear that responsibility alone?

Why does the MSME sector share it among Themselves?

"WHY TRY TO BE MAHAAN(Superior) WHEN WE CAN BE UTTAM(Good)"

Why do we forget that we can be superior for some time but not for the whole life? After a while dissatisfaction, conflicts & sufferings will again take birth.

But instead of trying to be MAHAAN(superior) what if one tries to be UTTAM(good)? What if we work for self satisfaction not to compete with others but rather the competition is with ourselves? Wouldn’t we unknowingly become GREAT while trying to be Uttam(good)?
